HOTHOUSE: Hot water provision in homes; consumption, storage and lifestyle.

Welcome

Welcome to the HotHouse project, hosted at Loughborough University

HotHouse is a 2-year research project that investigates the future stresses around domestic hot water consumption in the home.

The project builds on the data and research methods developed on the LEEDR project and combines user centered design methods with ethnographic and numerical modelling and simulation techniques in order to situate family homes, their heating and hot water systems and domestic routines, in a series of future scenarios that will be developed in conjunction with Forum for the Future.

The project is working with a number of organisations to guide the work ( see Project Partners) and will provide: insights on the future impacts on daily hygiene routines, new hot water consumption and whole house simulation models.

What's new!

We are now participating in IEA Annex 66 on occupant behavior.
